"THE BEST OF THE EAST" DVD
DVD Release "The Best of the East" showcases the 2004 ESA Eastern Surfing Championships. The Eastern Surfing Association, Aquafluence Productions and 5-X-B have just released The Best of the East, a multimedia DVD featuring the 2004 ESA Eastern Surfing Championships held in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina on September 19th - 25th, 2004. By splicing together the hottest talent in East Coast surfing, a driving soundtrack, and mind-boggling animation, The Best of the East proves to be the essential movie for any East Coast surfing fanatic. The compilation of footage from this year’s Easterns linked with insane graphic technology and top-quality production gives the ins and outs of the entire event. Scenes of competition heats, beach footage, and profiles of key competitors with an artistic angle exemplify the ESA’s most coveted competition as if you were actually there. Highlighting this year’s duel for the Jr. Men’s crown, The Best of the East pits back and forth clips of Champion Eric Rheaume holding off a rodeo-flipping runner-up Eric Geiselman. It also stars multi-divisional winner Tony Silvagni and his ballet-inspired nose riding antics, as well as Will Skudin’s tow-at acrobatics. This film embodies the family aspect of the ESA, by displaying Greg, Gina, Eric and Evan Geiselman’s competitive love for the sport of surfing. Of course, there’s high-quality, action-packed competition footage in the range of varying surf and weather conditions including a head-thumping wipeout section in growling Hatteras closeouts. Closing with a segment about ESA grads-turned-professional surfers, Noah Snyder, Jessie Hines, Will Tant and Matt Beacham are shown ripping then raving about how important the ESA was in launching their pro careers. This movie truly provides the heat by heat feel of being at the famed Lighthouse while giving a perfect vision into the future of surfing. The DVD also features an extensive “game room” menu. Ten bonus chapters give you all the extras, including music videos, a photo slide show of the contest, a hip-hop montage with mesmerizing graphics and the ESA All-Star team representing at the 2004 American Surfing Championships in Huntington Beach, California.
